    Key Features

Hemptique dog toys - Putting both toys in the wash

A company dedicated to offering high-quality, sustainable products, Hemptique’s dog toys check all the boxes for a pet-friendly, earth-safe toy. Their hemp toys are made with quality materials that are durable and eco-friendly, and the toys are low maintenance and easy to clean.

    High-Quality Materials

Hemptique’s dog toys are as clean as they get. They’re made of 100% natural organic hemp that’s grown without chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides, and the hemp is processed using a specialized method that only a few companies use.

Along with being made from a premium material, these toys come with a lot of perks for your pup, including the following:

    • Non-toxic and 100% safe for pets
    • Promote healthy teeth and gums
    • Stronger and more durable than toys made from cotton and synthetic fiber
    • Hypoallergenic and naturally resistant to bacteria, mold, and mildew
    • Washable
    • Biodegradable

    Durable

These toys are designed for strong mouths and rough play. They’re made for indoor and outdoor use and crafted from the highest-quality industrial hemp, which is known for its strength and durability. Unlike toys made from cotton and synthetic fiber, hemp doesn’t break or fray, making these toys perfect for dogs with strong jaws and pups who like to play hard.

    Eco-Friendly

For decades, hemp has been used across a variety of industries for its industrial, commercial, and medicinal properties. But it’s only recently been recognized for its sustainable features and eco-friendly benefits. Because the toys are made from unprocessed hemp fiber (a highly renewable resource), they’re biodegradable and earth-friendly. This is great because not only are the toys 100% safe for your pup, but they’re safe for the planet too!

    Low Maintenance

Along with being naturally resistant to bacteria, mold, and odor, Hemptique’s dog toys are easy to clean. Thanks to the natural hemp fibers, the toys can be washed regularly. Handwashing is the best way to wash the toys, but they can also be thrown in the washing machine for a quick and easy clean.

If being machine washed, it’s recommended to use a delicate, gentle, or handwash cycle and to put the toys in a mesh laundry bag to keep them protected and contained.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many dog toys does Hemptique offer?

Hemptique has three different hemp toys for dogs, including:

    • 20mm Hemp Rope Tug & Pull Dog Toy
    • 12mm Hemp Rope Tug & Pull Dog Toy
    • 12mm Hemp Rope Loop Dog Toy

What happens if my dog eats some of the rope?

Unlike chews made of plastic and synthetic materials, hemp fiber is 100% safe for pets and perfectly digestible. If your dog eats some of the rope, it will not get stuck in their stomach. That said, it’s always best to supervise your dog during play and take the toy away if they happen to tear it apart.

What is the shipping and return policy?

Orders ship within 2 business days and take 3-5 days to be delivered. You can exchange or return items within 30 days of purchase.

    Where is Hemptique located?

Hemptique’s headquarters are in Southern California, but they have an expansive supply network across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Our Reviews of the Hemptique Toys We Received

    1. 20mm Hemp Rope Tug & Pull Dog Toy

hemptique dog toys Tug toy with tag

This is the perfect toy for tugging and fetching. It’s thicker than Hemptique’s other dog toys and has two knots on each end for extra durability and fun. The knots are perfect for you and your pup to hold during a game of tug, and the added thickness makes it ideal for dogs that like to play rough. As the largest toy in Hemptique’s dog collection, it’s the best option for aggressive chewers and is the recommended toy for large breeds.

The toy is designed for indoor and outdoor play, and it comes with a natural hay scent that your dog will love. The toy is about 20 inches long, and the price is comparable to similar toys on the market.

    Pros

    • Great for playing fetch
    • Non-toxic
    • Easy to clean
    • Earth-friendly
    • Dye-free
    • Antimildew
    • Handmade in the USA

    Cons

    • Gets dirty fast

    2. 12mm Hemp Rope Loop Dog Toy

hemptique dog toys Loop toy with tag

The Loop toy is pretty similar to the Tug & Pull toy, but there are a few features that set it apart, like the size and shape. It’s thinner than the Tug & Pull toy and has a loop on one end and two ropes with knots on the other. Between the two, this one is a superior tug toy thanks to the easy-to-hold loop. While the toy is great for large breeds, the thinner, smaller design makes it ideal for small and medium pups.

Like the Tug & Pull toy, the Loop toy is designed for indoor and outdoor play and comes with a natural hay scent. The toy is about 17 inches long, and the price is comparable to similar toys on the market.

    Pros

    • Great for tug-of-war
    • Indoor and outdoor play
    • Long-lasting
    • Naturally antimicrobial
    • Biodegradable
    • Easy to grip
    • Good for teething

    Cons

    • Scent can be off-putting

Our Experience with The Hemp Dog Toys

Whenever I find new toys for my dog, Micah, one of the first things I do is check the label to make sure the materials are non-toxic. Only recently, I’ve been on the lookout for sustainable toys too. Even though I’m familiar with a few brands that make eco-friendly dog toys, it wasn’t until I heard about Hemptique that I learned about toys made from hemp.

After reading about Hemptique’s rope toys and learning about the benefits of hemp, I had to try them out. How could I say no to a toy with so many great qualities? These seriously check all the boxes of a safe, sustainable, and stellar dog toy, and come with a host of perks for your pup and the planet.

After browsing Hemptique’s dog collection, I decided on the 20mm Hemp Rope Tug & Pull Dog Toy and the 12mm Hemp Rope Loop Dog Toy. The 20mm Tug & Pull toy seemed like a good size for Micah, and the Loop toy was such a fun shape that it was hard to pass up.

The toys arrived in a standard cardboard box, and the first thing I noticed was the durable material and the scent. Because Hemptique uses unprocessed hemp, their toys have a slight natural odor that smells like hay. It took me a minute to get used to it, but Micah went crazy for the toys the minute I opened the box.

The first toy we played with was the Tug & Pull Toy. I love the larger size of this one, and it’s perfect for playing tug and fetch. The Loop toy was fun to play with too, and it was an immediate favorite for its shape. Micah loves having multiple knots to chew on, and I love having a handle to hold while playing with him.

Overall, both toys are a good size. Micah is a 54 lb Standard Goldendoodle, and they both fit well in his mouth without being too small. I was initially concerned the 12mm would be too small for Micah, but it’s only slightly smaller than the 20mm and has held up well. I still tend to favor 20mm for a larger dog, but honestly, both toys are great.

As far as rope toys go, these are extremely durable. Micah has had a number of rope toys in the past (not made with hemp) that get shredded in a few hours. These ones are still going strong after daily indoor and outdoor play sessions.

That being said, these aren’t toys I leave in Micah’s toy bin or leave with Micah unsupervised. Even though they’re strong and durable, they’re not indestructible. I only take them out to play fetch and tug, and after Micah gnaws on them for a bit (while I watch him), I put them away until our next play session.

    Conclusion

If you’re looking for a sustainable toy for your four-legged friend, Hemptique’s rope toys are a great option. The toys are designed for dogs of all ages and breeds, and they’re made with durable hemp that’s all-natural and eco-friendly. Both toys are great for tugging and fetching, and the different shapes and sizes let you choose the best one for your dog’s size and play style.
