I wouldn't hang out around drunk people anyways.. Once we were there during the summer and boy did we hate it. Soooo hot! We even had to carry Josephine due to the heat and the hot surface *yikes* Other than that we had a wonderful time, each time. Josephine Yeah, I can do- that, but I- won't! moderator     Barked: Tue Nov 6, '12 5:56pm PST  I mean, she is already doing work for you and seems to be a good worker for and with you. From what you are describing, I can see her as a SD. As an ESA I would not put a vest on her. You can do whatever you want, but it won't make things right. You can always get a Please Don't Pet Me patch/sign, which you can put on her harness. That might solve a few of the issues and you are not crossing any boundaries. People can take their pets to therapy as long as it is agreed upon. They can go to dentists, even. Just make sure you got the approval to bring your pet dog. Josephine Yeah, I can do- that, but I- won't! moderator     Barked: Sat Nov 3, '12 9:08am PST  no.. but - a SD doesn't have a wear a vest in general. Check out the flyer on Jolanda's dog page on the right side. It will give you the laws in short. When it comes to ESAs, they are just pets living with a disabled handler, who (help me here if I am wrong) has to provide a Drs note to the landlord. As far as I can recall (again here, if anyone knows more) you do not have to pay a deposit for those animals. ESAs don't wear vests, cause they are pets and have no public access rights anyways. The landlord already has the paper filled out by the Dr, so there is not need to mark your dog in any shape or form. You could spray him pink No, but seriously, they don't wear vests. There will be lots of people doubting, harassing you, talking mean about you. There will also be the ones supporting you, loving you, respecting you. I know you got trust enough in yourself to make this decision.
