I do! I'm a trainer, so my dogs frequently go to work with me for use as demo dogs in classes and orientations as well as for play groups, seminars, private lessons, etc.

Behavior & Training > Harness...

I reviewed my new favorite training harness, The Freedom Harness yesterday on the dogster B & T blog.

If pulling is not a concern, a traditional back clip harness should be fine.

Also, not sure why you'd want to wait on the harness. In general, collars should be avoided with very tiny dogs, especially until they are trained reliably, because of the risk of tracheal damage.

Great post, Misha!

Here is a blog I wrote recently for the Dogster Behavior & Training blog on How to Help Your Fearful Dog Survive Fireworks Season that some of my B & T pals may find helpful with some other resources for noise phobia in dogs.

I thought you may enjoy this.

Here is a slideshow of images, some from my students, others from dogster friends, of their dogs offering thanks to Monte for the lessons he taught us all.

What an amazing gift friends like Monte and all of you are!

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your thoughts on my angel boy.

I have been overwhelmed by all the support I have received from the dogster community and other friends within the positive training community.

Monte's love truly was too big for one house, city, or even state. It seems as though his story will live on in the hearts of pet parents throughout the world.

In his honor, I have created The Monte Project, "Ode to Boy: Tributes to Crossover Dogs." This site is intended to be a place where pet parents and trainers can offer tribute to their crossover dogs and those trainers who influenced their decision to transition to dog-friendly training techniques.

If any of you would like to sign the guestbook, submit your crossover dog's story, pictures, or a memorial picture to Monte, you can find submission guidelines on the website.

Thanks again, everyone. Truly, he was and remains one of the biggest blessings I've ever had.

Ash,

If I make it down to Ali's for Coppinger in May, I can bring some food tubes down for you and Kaya/Blue's mom. Lemme know how many you'd want.

For Mokie, it is definitely jump to target.

For Monte, go to bed is the perennial favorite.

What behaviors do your dogs love?

Monte is very smart, but me training him to jump on my back would not be very smart - agreed.
