applause Nice! Polly gets the life she deserves! applause

She's probably clingy because she got so little attention at her previous home. naughty
She's really cute. Thanks for stepping up & saving her. I hope the dogs continue to bond, and that you fail as a foster! laugh out loud

cloud 9 Big Kid Grilled Cheese! cloud 9 I had that this winter and went back to making grilled cheese whenever I'm at a loss for dinner. Today is national Grilled Cheese day! applause Panera is around the corner from me. I love their chicken & wild rice soup.

Princesse will eat when she's ready. Chicken, broth soaked kibble, pumpkin-anything not normal and their taste buds usually wake up. When Rusty doesn't eat, I know I have a problem on my hands. He has a love affair with food.

Jewel, a friend of mine would go visit her nieces & nephews periodically to kill her maternal instincts. My daughter is an adult now, and I will say that she is lucky I allowed her to live. laugh out loud I became a single parent when she was four, and we had our share of battles! During the hormonal years, I didn't want to come home from work to face the battles. But during her college years, we became friends. cloud 9 Now I'm glad I let her live! big laugh

Thor, the Bus Winos want to start out with breakfast & Mimosas. shock I hope they pace themselves. Maybe I'll bring poop bags to use as barf bags, if they get carried away.

A furry creature with amber eyes is poking me. I suspect he feels neglected. Time to cuddle!

cloud 9 Love the story of Shelly! Thanks for sharing....Mrs. Thor!

I'm with Jewel; puppies are tiring! Jem is very cute, though. Love her curly coat.

My neighbor used to have morning glories that would cascade over my fence. I loved to see them every day. big grin I didn't even mind cleaning the dead vines off my side of the fence in the winter.

81 today, faint breeze, and good afternoon to mow the lawn. Darn thing grows too fast! (as do the weeds in the rocks and the weeds that come from the back neighbor's fence.)

I took another sample into the vet's today to see if Rusty's parasites are gone. It's strange to think that I get to pay for the honor of dropping poop on their desk! laugh out loud "That's mine. Next time I'll bring a sample from the dog!"

I'm going to a wine tasting festival Saturday and do not have to drive! big grin Friend's husband always likes to remind us: "It's wine *tasting* ladies; not wine drinking!" He's not going with us this time...........Thirteen people in a van. I'd better bring some ear plugs for the driver.

Wavies to everyone!

hamster dancehamster dance DOTD!! Who knew? I don't open Dogster to the community page. Thanks for the gifts, guys, and a special thanks to Flicka for the badge! Love it! cloud 9

Lazy day today. I am avoiding doing taxes, but need to get cracking. I just have to remember what my &%#$! password is for the tax program..........

Toto, that is scary stuff. I'd go along the same train of thought as Flicka: falling off something or something falling on her. Your dogs sure are having a rough time, lately. confused

Back to searching for my password...........eek

Behavior & Training > My one year old female pitbull is starting to show signs of aggression

thinking She's hitting canine puberty. She's bored & under exercised. She's been tormented by a Yorkie, and no one thinks to correct the smaller dog. She's forced to stay in a cage most of the time. All these and more, are reasons why your dog acted up. Wearing a fitted muzzle is not harmful to the dog and makes more sense than keeping her from being properly socialized. The breed does have a tendency to dog aggression if the Work & Training does not continue on a regular (daily) basis. She doesn't bother your Dachshund because it's part of her pack.

You need to be your dog's advocate; overrule the BF's decision to leave her outside, and take more responsibility for her well being. If you let this continue, she will not be easily rehomed.

And I totally agree: Dogs should not be thought of as a disposable commodity.

ETA: "Whooping" a dog is the absolute worst thing you can do. How can a dog trust the person that raises their hand in anger to them?

balloons Congratulations to Princesse! DOTD! balloons
Now start campaigning for DOTW...........

Rusty's meds are kicking in and he is pretty much back to his old self. cloud 9 He is a bit out of shape, after being grounded for the past month. He was a maniac at the park today; running, rassling, enjoying the sun, and being charming to his Uncle Tom for a treat.

We hit 80 yesterday and 75 today! big grin Love this weather!

Onyx, great pictures! He is such a handsome boy!
