Other than that the vet will have something they can give you to help slow the problem and will possibly also give the pup some liquids sub-Q if need be. You can try chicken broth and rice too.

Across the crowd a baby started to cry, she lifted her head to try and see through the crowd and why the baby was crying. I told her to mind her business. A man we were passing got very angry with me because he was sure I had told him to mind his business. No amount of talking could sooth him so I told him sorry and walked off.

Raw Food Diet > heartworm preventative...yes or no?

In order to use Ivomec your vet has to tell you how much to give your dog according to its weight and your dog can not be a collie or part collie. If it is part collie there is a quick DNA test that can be done to see if it carried the gene that would make it allergic to Ivomec.
Ivomec costs nothing compared to other heart worm medication and is the main ingredient in all of them. The other wormer I get costs very little as well. I have 4 giant breed girls and pay in a year as much for all four what I would pay in a month if I went the other route.

He will still have a little mishap here and there, but it is much better.

You said she was chewing on you cabinets… dogs chew for many reasons. One of those reasons is stress relief. When you leave her make sure to leave her things to chew. The kong may not be enough to last her all of the time she is there alone. If the crate is a place she can’t handle right now than don’t put her there. That was a good choice. In the mean time purchase bitter apple and spray it on the area she has been chewing to deter her from chewing that spot.
As far as training, I don’t know her age but some dogs mature a little slower that other dogs and take more time to click. Also, you need to work with her every day. If she is slow to mature keep your practice times short but make them more than once a day. Arrange with one friend to work with you, who will repeatedly come to the door. Put her in a sit stay or a down stay back away from the door while you answer the door and after your friend is in then invite her to meet them… try both and see what works best for her.
Do this over and over and every time she breaks start over, baby steps. You will need a good friend to do this with. It will take time, your friend might not make it in the door the first day you try it.
If I can be of any other help drop me a note.

| Barked: Sat May 11, '13 8:55am PST | | | | | I am a Papillion. My new mom has never had an extra-small dog before; she has only really Large dogs. I have 4 sisters all 100 pounds+. ~They are all very nice to me.~
I am 9 weeks old and I weigh 2 pounds and 4 ounces. My mom wants to be able to take me to a dog show in August; she says I will be old enough by then. She says I will get to meet lots of other Papillion’s when we go.
We are having a little problem though; it has to do with house training. When she takes me out to go potty, she can’t always tell when I have gone pee. She says I have a fuzzy butt and she can’t tell because I don’t squat like girl dogs do. The grass is almost as tall as I am and I only go a few drops at a time. I don’t know what to tell her, except when I get bigger so will my drops???
My name on my AKC Papers is “Cute as a Button” and my mom calls me Button. It’s nice to meet every one.
