♥- Augustus- ♥ what's a- happenin' hot- stuff?     Barked: Thu Aug 2, '07 6:04pm PST  While I feel like we were really lucky with Gus (he was the easiest of all our dogs to house break) I think a LOT of it had to do with being able to take him to work. He literally went outside every few hours (even at night) for the first month so he never really had a chance to have accidents. I sure feel for you, though, as I've had dogs that drove me insane with the house breaking. Hang in there - maybe consult a behaviorist to see if it is axiety related?? Bulldog > Summer time moody blues?

♥- Augustus- ♥ what's a- happenin' hot- stuff?     Barked: Thu Aug 2, '07 5:57pm PST  Well, Gus is pretty lazy all the time but I still noticed a difference in his mood this summer (we had weeks on end of mind to high 90s here in Denver - very rare). Honestly, he acted like we felt...miserable! Food & Nutrition > Urinary Diet?

♥- Skylar- ♥ Once a princess,- always a- princess!     Barked: Thu Aug 2, '07 5:50pm PST  Skye just had surgery to remove 3 very large bladder stones that developed pretty quickly (i.e. the weren't detected at her last comprehensive exam in May). She is 10 years old and has never had any issues in the past and she rotates b/w TWO, Natural Balance, and Canidae. The stones were caused from a ph-imbalance that is usually hereditary. She will also have to be on perscription diet for the rest of her life...BUT, it's worth it to ensure she doesn't have to go through that again! I wasn't terribly impressed with the ingredients either (particularly as compared to her old food) and it may be worth really researching the treatment of the bladder issues in the future to see if there are other SAFE options out there. (don't tell Brody or Skylar...I love them just as much, but Gus is just "special" ) Specifically, what do I love: - stealing the seat any time someone gets up - his affinety for dirty sheets on laundry day - when he gets the zoomies in the back yard - how every time we come home (no matter how short a time we've been gone) he gets excited like we've been apart for ages - his ability to eat food without chewing a single piece! - the reverse bucking bronco: the moves he makes when worked up - his gremlin "bark"...on the rare occasion he lets us hear it - the way he runs when he sees the malaseb & cotton balls come out ...I could go on and on and on.... my posts | my page | msg me | my family's posts | gift me | become pals [notify]
