| Barked: Fri Nov 2, '12 2:44pm PST | | | | | Alice, could you make wings for a cat?
One of our cats, Pearl, went to the Bridge on Oct. 1. We have asked over in the A Team group but I think the wing maker there is having some computer problems or something.
Pearl didn't have many pictures but the very last one might work best.
Thank you so much, in advance.

Dog Health > Found a tick on Tux
Tux
Tuff Marshmallow
|
| Barked: Tue Aug 7, '12 5:20am PST | | | | | I went ahead and got some Frontline yesterday. Applied to the each of the 3 dogs.
I am watching them closely for any side effects.
This morning, I found a tick on the kitchen floor. I think it was dead, it wasn't waving it's legs around anyway.
Toto, several years ago, I hatched out some guinea fowl. There was plenty of pickings for them but they always wandered off into the nearby field. They spent the night out there a couple of nights. It was a funny sight seeing my hubby and son "herding" them along the little road along the field, out into the county road then up our driveway to get back to their pen. They went out through the fence but would not come back in that way. So much for guineas around here.
I will be on the lookout for some natural tick repellant. I would much rather use a natural product.
Thanks for your help, all.

Tux
Tuff Marshmallow

| Barked: Mon Aug 6, '12 8:20am PST | | | | | Using the internet to identify it, it was a brown dog tick. Only found one under his collar. I was messing with it and it just pulled off. I squished it with a rock.
I checked over the two mini Schnauzers, found nothing.
My vet recommends using Frontline. Not having a tick or flea problem around here, I am not familiar with treatments used.
Good or bad thoughts on Frontline? Is it safe to use on the dogs? What side effects might I see?
Is it safe to use around cats? Obviously, looking at Tux's photo, you can see he has a cat buddy. Don't want the cats to get sick.
I think I will call the Orkin guy to treat for eggs or the juvenile stage of the tick.
Any other ideas? My main concern is if Frontline is safe.

Food & Nutrition > Anyone feed these brands?
Tux
Tuff Marshmallow

| Barked: Mon May 7, '12 6:01am PST | | | | | With all the recalls I have started searching for another brand of dry food to fit the needs of my dogs.
Does anyone have information, good or bad, about these brands?
Blue Life Protection Formula
Fromm
Pinnacle Holistic
Merrick
I am interested in where the ingredients are sourced from if anyone knows that. I can always call the companies.
How about past history like recalls and such.
Anything else?
Thanks. | | | | |
