Dog Health > Shaking as if shes wet

 I am a Pringles- pilfering pup!! |
| Barked: Sun Apr 14, '13 8:49pm PST | | | | | Body shaking can also be a sign of stress release...as in "shaking it off". My dogs do it after wrestling, after being released from a difficult command or after a confrontation. If she's on anti anxiety meds, she could just be shaking off the stress. | | | | |

When we seeing- the ponies?! |
| Barked: Wed Mar 13, '13 2:38pm PST | | | | | OK, this is gonna sound gross, but my dogs totally dig it!! I puree spinach, green beans, asparagus, bananas, tomatoes, blueberries or cranberries. My girls LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I also do pumpkin, but usually not in the puree. They love sweet potatoes and yellow squash (but they don't get that very often, mostly just due to me not being able to get it very often). | | | | |

Raw Food Diet > Puppy doesn't want meals with bone
Tiaki SDit
 I am a Pringles- pilfering pup!! |
| Barked: Tue Mar 5, '13 2:09pm PST | | | | | I agree with Gizmo. Tia had issues with bone for a little while. Their jaw muscles may not be strong enough to get through the thick leg bones. Also, they still have their puppy teeth. In the wild (yes I know, they are not wolves, they are domestic, but the theory is still the same) the adult dogs would still be regurgitating some of the food for the puppies. You might want to start with smaller bones & give boneless meat with it. Chicken wings are good, chicken feet too. The jaw muscles will get stronger & soon your pup will be able to get through bones will no problem. | | | | |

Raw Food Diet > My dog doesn't like liver! What should I do?
Sita SD
When we seeing- the ponies?! |
| Barked: Mon Feb 4, '13 8:13pm PST | | | | | I dehydrate my own liver. I guess I could do kidneys too, just cut the fat off. If you have a dehydrator, put the liver or kidney in the oven on 200 degrees for two hours, then put in the dehydrator. I usually go overnight, but if the liver is a bit thick, I will leave it in all day. I like it really crispy as it's less messy when training. If you don't have a dehydrator, just leave in the oven until it's cooked like you like it | | | | |

I thawed them out & mixed it in with the breakfast. Now I use dehydrated liver as training treats & she LOVES those. The vet said the dehydrated liver is ok to give instead of the raw. | | | | |

Service & Therapy Dogs > Have you been to Las Vegas with your service dog?
Sita SD
When we seeing- the ponies?! |
| Barked: Sun Feb 3, '13 11:32pm PST | | | | | Sita & I have been to Las Vegas a few times. Sita loves it!!! We've never had any issues with hotel, restaurant or store employees. They have always been very accommodating, asking if we needed water for Sita or food & always willing to seat us where Sita would be most comfortable. Other tourists are another story. Usually very nice, never had any big problems. I did have a few rude people on the last trip, mainly just really rude questions. Watch out for the drunk people though. They're a kick in the pants LOL. One thing I would suggest is to get a light up collar or other lights to put on your leash & vests so your dog is more visible. It helped a lot walking the strip at night or being in the dark casinos. Also, if I remember correctly, NV has very strict laws concerning interfering with a service dog. | | | | |

Service & Therapy Dogs > Tia's training is coming along nicely
Tiaki SDit
 I am a Pringles- pilfering pup!! |
| Barked: Sun Jan 27, '13 1:29pm PST | | | | | So I videoed a little of Tia's training today. Please forgive the camera work. I was having trouble balancing the phone, the treats & the clicker. This is Tia's favorite task by far (as you can see in the video at one point she pushes it before I even ask lol). I was using the doggy crack, as I do whenever we train, although she'd probably do this for just about anything.
