I think it fine if done how you said. In flyball they are doing Boarder/Whippet cross, The Boarder half for drive and concentration and the whippet half for speed. Its working good.

During the summer I give a small piece of garlic in their food everyday and though it doesnt stop the fleas, it seems to help.

I think once you got your Whippet use to cats it would be fine with all cats.

Whippets are great dogs, mine is cuddly but not overly so, likes to exercise but is fine if she doesn't and not much shedding. The only thing is you would have to socialize your Whippet a lot from a young age with cats so they would think of them as a friend and not prey.

My regular vet is OK with raw, but I had to go to another vet a few years ago for a small emergency and she proceeded to tell me how bad raw is, I sent her a packedge of all kinds of info on raw feeding. laugh out loud

Choosing the Right Dog > APBT/Amstaff/Staffie Comparison
Oliver

Gotta love me !

Barked: Fri Feb 15, '13 5:01am PST
Oliver is an APBT and I worried about that when I brought him home as a puppy. I just made sure I socialized him all the time and I still get him together with lots of dogs because I know D.A. can happen after they are 2yrs. old and he will be 2yrs soon. So far he loves other dogs and since I board dogs at my house he is around dogs a lot so I think that will help him from becoming D.A.
I think the key is training and socialization.
