Lobster cloud 9

Stay safe for those that are expecting storms!!

We have a muskrat living in the embankment creek behind my house. We also have a huge groundhog living nearby. It was sitting on the patio the other day!! I didn't realize how big they were!

Curly is quite handsome!!

Saturday I cleaned out Nicky's crate. I vacuumed the carpet squares and his bed, sprayed them with vinegar/water and set them outside to get a little sunshine and air out. There was so much dirt on the plastic bottom of his crate. Blech! It looked like I was sheering a sheep when I was doing the carpet squares laugh out loud I'm thinking about getting him the Kong Zoom Groom. I'm not sure how well it works on long double coats thinking It would be easier on his skin, though. He gets very agitated and nippy when I start brushing around his back legs and hips and I think the metal bristles might be hurting him.

The pool party was very nice and relaxing. Not nearly as many people over there as there usually is, and no kids either which was nice. They fixed beef tenderloin on the grill which was soooooooooo delicious. We were using flimsy plasticware and it just fell apart and was perfectly done. There was also salad, green beans, and stuffed mushrooms all fresh from the garden. Twice baked potatoes, and raspberry and mango sorbet pie for dessert. Another 'last meal' worthy dinner way to gocloud 9

We had a clam bake for dinner tonight!! Yuuuum! cloud 9 Clams (we snacked on a few raw ones before they went into the pot), chicken, potatoes, and very very sweet corn on the cob. Everything was so juicy. If that was my last meal, I'd be a happy camper dog

A friend of the family invited us over tomorrow for a pool party at his place. He always goes overboard with the food but hey I'm not complaining!! He has a huge garden and is pretty much self-sustainable as far as fruits and vegetables go. He even has corn! Makes his own spice mixes, cans things, jams things, it's pretty neat.

They also have a pond with these huge, beautiful Koi. I could honestly spend a day just photographing them. Didn't get any good pics this time around, but here is one from the last time I went. It is one of my favorites-

I call this one Brows

Toto, how wonderful!!!! hug

Took the day off today. Got a bit sick last night and I was ready for a break anyway, especially since I'm back working every other weekend again. Helped dad clean up the yard from the storm and lazed around the rest of the day.
Our Ash tree died so that's getting removed soon. I think my dad said he was going to remove our big Maple tree too. I will be mad if he does that because it shades 70% of the yard and the back of the house and it will be missed in the summer especially with how hot they have been lately. There won't be any shade for the dogs or us if that tree is removed.

Happy Flag Day!!

Nick is above holding things in his mouth so I had to stick the flag in his harness laugh out loud

Nick had gnarly buildup on his upper canines when I adopted him. I've been using Petzlife gel and a water additive for about a year and a half now. Most of the plaque has come off which I'm very pleased with.

IMO I think it is irresponsible to treat a high content like a dog. Sounds like he is still just a pup so I would not be too concerned yet, but things will likely drastically change once he matures.

Hello everyone!! wave

I caught up with all the posts but don't have time to individually respond so in short:
Yaaaay good stuff!!! cheerway to go
Booooo bad stuff!!!! frownshrug

It was a beautiful weekend here!! Sun shining and pleasant temps both days. Saturday I decided I wanted to go to the zoo after my half day at work. Dad and brother thought that sounded like a good idea so they came and met me at work. For lunch we ate at this place that sells game sausages, so we all had duck sausage and the most delicious seasoned fries I have ever tasted. YUM! The zoo was great, saw lots of critters. We also went through the conservatory that is next to the zoo. Took lots of pics, but still have to go through and edit them. But for now here's a little teaser:

Polar Bear

Hope your monday is as enjoyable as mondays can be! laugh out loud

If it's dry dirt, a local Sheltie rescue recommended spraying and massaging Show Sheen into the coat after drying to help keep dirt at bay.

Sarah, I think the bio sounds good. I've seen quite a few just like those on petfinder. I don't think it's harsh at all, I think it's being realistic.
