 | |  | | My beautiful rescue dachshund had to have emergency spinal surgery on Thursday. I hate to ask anyone for money, but we are really in a pinch. I have had two retinal detachment surgeries in the last year and with my husband getting fewer hours, we need some help.
Piper is an 11 year old dachshund. We have always made sure to keep her weight under control, exercise her regularly, and keep her from jumping up on beds, etc, but she still ending up having IVDD (disc disease).
The vet went in and cleared two ruptured discs on Thursday, and Piper is now home on mandatory crate rest. She is doing quite well and the vet has complete confidence that she will recover and live many more years. If you can help, bless you.
