Mom just received an email from the pet insurance company and there were some new products. One was very interesting. It is stairs that fold up and don't take up alot of space for those who need help getting into the car or for those of us who should use the steps so we do not injure ourselves overtime, jumping out. It is new, new, new...go to

Mom has been dilgently looking for some steps to help me get up onto the bed so she saw those while she's been looking. Abby and I are getting a new bed for upstairs!!!!snoopy Right now we just have a single sized roll away cot but they are going to bring up the bed that is in the spare bedroom, since no one uses it anyway, and it's the height of a REAL bed. Mom and dad figure that maybe we will actually use it if it's even with their bed. Plus, they will have more room too!laugh out loud

shockThat Midnight Pass co. is neat! Did you see the Murpy bed for pets, too cute! Mom like the folding stairs, but not for $99. She and Auntie Margo are going to make a plywood ramp for Abby, put some carpet on it, Auntie has some way of anchoring it, I forget. Abby has to be lifted down out of the car now (little station wagon type), because of her elbows.

Tessa, Emma J's dad made her a ramp. You might want to ask about design tips. He builds stuff.

All those stairs and steps can be very expensive. Some, way more than $99. I don't have any, yet, but mom is starting to worry since I jump off the bed and out of the truck. Boo Boo said that impact over time is what contributed to his elbow hurting...

applauseThanks, Shelby! We'll ask EmmaJ if Auntie Margo's ramp doesn't work well (shhbut we will let her try first, she enjoys the mechanics of things).

Well, it is not a new product, but mom got us a coupler (Sporn brand). It is wonderful! We took two walks wiff it. It attaches to our collars and then to one leash. All of this is working because I love walks and I do what Shelby does....but we were trying to sometimes investigate different things....now our body weight keeps us both going the same way. This will cut cost on having two leashes, too! Mom is typing and my nose is on her hand. I am trying to read!

I spent over $100 on a car ramp for Byron. It telescopes, so it's easy to fit in a small car and extends out far enough to make the ramp angle easy to navigate. It's aluminum and lightweight.

Mom got me some steps that can convert to a ramp, so she can try it either way and see what I do better with! Problem is they don't go up as high as the bed - there's at least another step's worth of height for me to navigate. And since my balance is so bad, I tend to fall off the side, so she needs to keep pillows and stuff all around it.

She says in her copious free time she'd like to build something custom for me. It would have guardrails on both sides going up the ramp. I like to go on the dresser to look out the window, and also on the bed - so she'd have an exit for the bed and another one for the dresser. And more guardrails to keep me from falling off the dresser. (I haven't yet, but I'm always looking for new ways to fly!)
