 | |  | | Yes, normally a Wheaten's hair will grow back the same color. When he gets shaved, he will probably look a lot lighter than he is now, and then his hair will start to grow back darker. I think it's good for a dog to get a short haircut or shave every now and then. Of course, I am not saying to let your dogs hair mat, but I always think my Wheaten Terriers like to have shorter hair during the warm weather seasons. It helps keep them cooler.
