Bella had surgery for an ACL tear in January. We were running agility up until then. But, obviously have not run since.

One of the vets we work with has given her clearance to run. But I am nervous about re-injury &/or injuring the good leg etc.

Has anyone here run agility after an ACL injury?
How long did you wait?
Did you do any special types of exercises to get back up to speed?
Were/are there contacts that you avoid(ed)?
Did you get back into competitions, or just take classes and run for fun?
Any other suggestions that you can give about exercising/conditioning/core building?

Thanks for your help.

Here is a link that may help:
CCL Therapy from Clean Run

You can, indeed, get your canine athlete back into competition form. I've not had to deal with ccl repair... for Charks. She did need to have a toe amputated (left front outer) which required its own rehab.

The funny thing was that I had to read your post twice to make sure that you were talking about pup vs trainer laugh out loud Trainer joint injury is all too common. Best of luck... but you should be able to work your way back from this.
