Make sure your breeder knows about specific diseases that are rare and do happen. Make sure these diseases have been tested in older breeding pairs. If they have never heard of PLE and PLN run quickly away. I lost my baby at 7yrs. old. It was heartbraking to watch your dog starve to death slowly and see the life drain out one of the most wonderful breed of dogs there is! Read about Dr. Merrill Littman and the colony dogs. Read about nutrition! I am on my second Wheaten and love him so much!
