Levi attends his first day of school with me tonight SO nervous. This particular class is a pretty laid-back environment and I already contacted my professor and all of that but I'm still nervous about how he'll do since he's still in training. Any tips from any other SD handlers whose dogs have accompanied them to school?

I don't think I'd take an SDiT to class with me. When you're training, you need to be focused on the dog. But in class, well, I would want to focus on the class.

Thor is a SDIT and he attends college with me. I have never had an issue, he sleeps through the classes.

If your dog doesn't have a good down stay I wouldn't bring him to class.

I agree with Thor. If you aren't sure if your dog will be able to just lie around without being disruptive for an hour or two in a class go to a cafe or something or somewhere a little more forgiving for the dog and hang out for the length of a class period and see for yourself.

He actually did really well. Just lay there patiently for the whole like 2 hours. Of course he attracted a lot of attention because my classmates are used to seeing me without him but he handled it fine. A few little hiccups but nothing major. I'm pretty proud of him little angel
