My rescue, Noah, is a crazy pup. But I have absolutely no idea what he is. I've had strangers give me tons of guesses, but nothing seems right. Do y'all have any idea what he may be?

This is a list of breeds people have guessed, either purebred or mixed:
German Shepherd
Rottweiler
Basenji
Doberman pinscher
Miniature pinscher
Black and Tan coonhound
Carolina dog
Australian shepherd
Australian kelpie

Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

I would guess a doberman lab mix from the picture I can see. He has the colouring and ears (pointed) of the doberman but more of a lab build and a heavier face.

But I thought he would be a lot bigger. He is barely 45 lbs right now and he's almost 9 months.

I don't know that I have a good guess but he is gorgeous way to go

I would throw in doberman maybe or kelpie mix?

45 lbs isn't that small, a border collie is about 50 lbs full grown. Although dobermans are thin and tall labs can vary a lot.

Thanks. I know 50 lbs isn't small. But I mean dobermans are usually 70+ lbs. and a lot taller. Labs are up there too. I washday saying that he's short and light to be a mix of those two.

Thanks for your input y'all. I really appreciate it. smile

That's exciting. I am hoping he might be an interesting mix. Kelpie would sure be interesting. Plus the size seems right.

Definitely looks like a Kelpie to me! If not a purebred then a mix of something, but he definitely has kelpie in him, I'm 99% sure smile
