Sonja, I'm horrible at remembering movies, even the good ones. It's hard to pick a favorite. But I do remember the last movie I watched, Life of Pi. I didn't really think I'd like it, but it's different than what you expect, and the story was quite interesting. And unlike so many other movies, the ending was really good! It's a movie that you have to pay attention too though or you won't get it.
Mmmmm, Oreo crumb crust.
Sanka has been a PITA the past 24 hours. Took them for a hike after work yesterday, so they both had a good outting and should have been good and tired. But at midnight, Sanka decides that he wants to escape the kitchen and proceeds ram his way through the barricade I made to confine him. He wakes the whole house up doing so. I was too tired to rearange the barricade, so I just locked him in the crate to be done with it. He lasted 3 hours before he started barking. I go down and let him out as he usually is thirsty when he does that. While he's getting a drink, I reinforce the barricade so I can leave him out so he has access to the water. He lasts 40 minutes before he starts whining super loud. I guess he thought 3:40 in the morning was a great time to go play in the fresh snow, and he just couldn't wait any longer.
So, I let him out......and he just sits by the door and stares inside. I was so fed up with him I was tempted to just leave him out there. He finally went out and did a round about the yard before coming back to be let in and thankfully slept the rest of the morning without whining!
But the day is not done yet. Morning walk he decides to keep going in out and out these logs they have along the side of the road. This always tangles the leash up and is a big mess. I had to constantly tug him away from the darn things.
Oh, but he's not done yet. Went to the creek with the dogs in the afternoon. It was somewhat frozen, but not enough to walk on. There is a shallow part that we have to cross, and I normally don't have a problem convincing Sanka to cross there. Well, Mr. PITA decided that he didn't want to cross there and proceeded to walk out onto the ice. I couldn't grab him because the ice wouldn't support my weight, and he was off leash. Eventually, the ice gives way to his weight, and he falls into the creek and it just happens to be one of the deeper areas, so he has to swim. He starts to swim to shore, which would have been good, but then he decides to turn around mid swim. He puts his front paws back on the sheet of ice and just hangs there pathetically. I tried to encourage him to pull himself up, but no go. So, I walked over to help him and fall through the ice as predicted, which floods my boots and gets me soaking wet.
Okay, rant over. Days like these make me want a vacation from the dogs lol. | | | | |
