UTI then crystals in Urine?

	Hi all. My 8 year old schnauzer had a UTI 2 weeks back (very bad) but antibiotics cleared it up nicely. THis week, they took another urine sample post treatment, and found that he has crystals in his urine. He has had increased thirst and lately slightly increased appetite. The veterinarian suggests using a dry dog food called SO Diet (company Royal Canin)to prevent the crystals from becoming bladder stones. Is this dog food really efficient? Has anyone had any experiences similar to mine, and if so what have you done? We are very nervous and concerned.
