my Walmart only carries the 30lb bag per their website.
so let me ask you this. I have a 40lb bag of sportmix dog food I have used for about a week now. there poop is definitely larger and more often .would you keep using it? I bought our new puppy purina puppy chow and am not happy with that at all. but I rescued him all of the sudden and didn't really have any other option at the time.
I remember my parents as a kid used ol roy and our dogs lived a decent amount of time. when they got older they had health issues but I am not sure if its food related.
