Yesterday to SFO.
She's a 4 1/2 month old Saluki.
I had her when I was there but came home before she did.
My boyfriend sent her to me.
She is barking like crazy at everything.
Not her regular bark, this is more of a panicked, hysterical bark.
I get that she's undoubtedly freaked from the trip.
Kuwait to Amsterdam...lodged at the Animal Hotel overnight then Amsterdam to San Francisco.
My question is how can I help her to calm down and adjust to her new home?

Love Saluki's cloud 9

I'd suggest lots of walks to help get rid of nervous energy.

I agree with the exercise thing. She's just probably trying to adjust. Nothing smells, looks or feels familiar to her. She's on a totally different continent. Did she come with a blanket or towel in the crate she was shipped in? You might try giving that to her. Don't wash it. At least the smells on it would be familiar to her. We would LOOOOVVEE to see some pictures of her. Good Luck!

Also, you might try posting this in the behavior thread on this forum. There's more people there to offer advice.
