"Spayed" Dog not really spayed! Help!

This forum is for dog lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your dog.

The low cost clinic I had Trig neutered at, and his mother was spayed at does a cute little green tattoo line for both the boys and girls. Whereas you can't tell with either of my girls, especially the fluffy one. It is recent though, as I have had dozens of animals spayed/neutered up there, and only in the last year have they started doing the tattoos.

As for the spay, wait. Yes, it is annoying to deal with a female in heat, but it would be more of a hassle and heartbreak if she had complications from doing it now.

If she's having some behavior and health problem right now then wait for her heat to be over. I know other female dogs fixed when they are in heat but are just alright.
