I have a Cocker Spaniel and have done ample research on their ears since I know this can be a huge problem. My first recommendation is food- try changing his food to a grain-free such as: Orijen or Timberwolf Ocean Blue and see if by switching his food you have better luck with his ears. My next recommendation will be to get a scruntchy and tie his ears up on top of his head to allow air circulation. If he's not used to this you may want to try for 1 minute this first day and keep him busy and increase to 15 mins a day until he gets used to the idea of his ears being tied up. I have never had a problem with ears on either of my Cockers (knock on wood) however I believe it has all to do with food and also with air circulation. Lastly I would stop cleaning his ears everyday since you need him to build up an immunity to not having his ears cleaned. By cleaning his ears everyday you are getting rid of some natural bacterias that he needs. Good Luck and hope this helps! |  |  | |  |
