Can't be shown, should not be bred, so it's only fair to the dog.

Back the truck up here for a moment. How old is the dog? Is it really a puppy? If your "dog" is really a puppy, check with a qualified vet with it's head on straight!

Yea there is no resason to really keep him intact. He will be better off and he really should not breed.

It can still go down on its own. It depends on the dogs age if it will descend. The dog can still breed. The situation should be treated the same way if the dog didn't have this problem. The only thing that is different is that the dog may not be used for showing, if it doesn't descend on its own.

Actually, according to my research, dog whose testicle still has not descended once he's mature should not be bred. If the dog isn't neutered, the undescended testicle does increase his risk for cancer, and furthermore an undescended testicle can be passed onto puppies.
