I have a 2 1/2 month old toy poodle.Stepped on his paw. Limping, whining, wants to be held. no swelling or redness.Help!

Big big daddy stepped on toy poodles front paw while playing with the other puppy. He weighs only 2 lbs. He wants to play so bad but takes a few steps then whines. Doesn't pull away or whine when I touch anywhere on his paw. I can't figure out what is hurting him! We just brought him home and are heart broken :( His regular vet check up is tomorrow. I don't know the vet though and don't really trust them yet. There is no swelling, redness, and it is not warmer than the rest of his body. What should I do?!

His vet check is tomorrow, wait until then. If you see signs you don't like about the vet, call up the local animal shelter can ask them about other vets in your area.

It doesn't sound like anything is broken so waiting for the vet appointment should be OK. They move so quickly, sometimes you can't help but step on them.

Yea the vet visit will be fine to wait over nite. You may have just bruised it a bit and the dog is just a puppy but i am sure if you point it out to the vet they will be able to know more.
