how do i fix it so my dog does not pee on himself?

When my dog goes to pee over half the times he will end up getting it on his front legs or his chest. He is maturing, and learning to mark his territory, but it has been about a month and a half since he started lifting his leg. I don't know how to get him to stop peeing on himself. I have to wash his legs and chest each time it happens.

my dog is four years old and he still pees on himself. He lifts his leg to pee but he doesnt actually pee on anything but his foot. and if he doesnt pee on his foot he steps in the puddle when he's finished.

♥ DEOGIE ♥

Mastering the leg lift may take some time, he will get it eventually.

Rusty

Rusty was over 2 years old when I got him, and he used to pee on himself all the time. It took him 9 months more before he finally figured out how to pee without wetting himself.

I agree with the others. He will more then likely learn not to do this as he grows into his body.
